Personalize your Sender Details

As well as being able to personalize greetings and content, you can also manipulate the Sender Details of your communication. This allows you to personalize the From Name, From Email Address and Reply-To Address so they are targeted at the particular subscribers receiving your communications.

 

To Personalize the Sender Details:

  1. Open the email that you would like to send, and start the Send Wizard.
  2. Choose the Subscribers you’d like to send your communication to and click ‘Next’.
  3. Choose your Subject Line and click ‘Next’. (You can also personalize your email’s subject line.)
  4. On the right of the default sender details, click Change Sender Details’.
  5. To the right of the three fields (From Name, From Email and Reply to Email) you’ll see the Insert Subscriber Field icon.
  6. Using the From Email as an example, in the Field drop-down, select the data field that represents the email address that you want to personalise the From Address with. Then, click ‘Insert’.

    Note: When personalising the From Email, the field chosen must store email addresses. Any field with the incorrect syntax for an email address(or is empty) will result in the subscriber receiving from the ‘or default to’ email address, not the personalized sender. ‘Local Rep’ is a custom field containing the email address for the subscribers local Jetavion representative.
  7. Your personalized HTML code will now appear within the From Address Field.

    In the example above, you’ll see the HTML Code as ${subscriber.field(‘Local Rep’)!jenglish@jetavion.com’}. To Subscribers receiving this communication, it will seem that the email came from their local Jetavion Representative.

 

  1. Steps 5-7 can be repeated for From Name and Reply to Email. Click ‘Save’ when done.
    • For the From Name, the Subscriber field chosen should contain a name.Note: When personalising the From Name, the field chosen must store a name (text). Any field with the incorrect syntax for a name(or is empty) will result in the subscriber receiving from the ‘or default to’ name, not the personalized name. 

     

    • For the Reply to Email, choose a field which contains an email address.Note: When personalising the Reply to Email, the field chosen must store email addresses. Any field with the incorrect syntax for an email address(or is empty) will result in the subscriber receiving from the ‘or default to’ email address, not the personalized sender.
  2. Click ‘Next’ and continue through the rest of the Send Wizard.
