Andrew is Newsweaver’s CEO and Founder and has worked in email marketing since 1996. He served as Chairman of the Irish Internet Association (IIA) in 2001 and received an IIA Award for his overall contribution to the Irish internet industry in 2003.
Andrew has worked closely with the Irish Government in developing legislation and best practice for the industry – specifically the implementation of the European Law on Data Protection in Ireland. He also writes articles for trade publications and has been a guest speaker at many conferences/seminars in the UK and Ireland.
Andrew graduated from University College Cork with a BSc in Computer Science.
Profiles of Newsweaver’s key team members
denise is Newsweaver’s Lead Consultant. She provides consultancy and best-practice guidance to clients, enabling them to maximise their investment in email. She joined Newsweaver in 2000 as Newsletter Specialist.
Prior to joining Newsweaver, denise ran her own Irish-based email marketing agency, All Real Good Internet. Before that, she gained extensive experience in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, where she worked in communications and publicity in the music business, including Geffen, Island and Capitol records.
denise is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops around the world, writes for numerous european publications and sits on the Direct Marketing Association’s Email Marketing Council.
She holds a Bachelor degree in Radio/TV/Film.
Jane is responsible for developing customer relationships, better understanding customer needs and resolving issues.
She has more than 10 years’ experience working with customers, bringing a wealth of customer relationship, communications and training knowledge, having previously worked for Apple and Siemens.
Jane graduated with honours from University College Cork, with a Bachelor of Arts in French and German.
Bernard is responsible for overseeing the services and technologies available to Newsweaver clients.
He has worked in project and operations management positions in companies providing web-based solutions to a wide range of business sectors. Prior to this, Bernard spent 15 years in process engineering in Apple Computer’s manufacturing facility in Ireland.
Bernard is an engineering graduate from Cork Regional Technical College and holds a diploma in Business Management from Henley College, London.
Margaret has responsibility for Newsweaver’s financial, legal and commercial activities.
She joined the company in 2008 having previously headed up the finance department of a US multinational start-up in Ireland and Europe.
Margaret holds an honours B. Comm degree from University College Cork and a diploma in Professional Accounting from University College Dublin. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Marie has responsibility for all marketing activities within Newsweaver, including branding, advertising, PR, and all direct and online marketing.
She has more than a decade of marketing and product management experience, working for marketing departments of IT firms as well as advertising agencies.
Marie graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor of Science in Management.
Sean is responsible for all product development and technology within Newsweaver.
He joined the company from Qumas in 2007 and has been instrumental in helping Newsweaver build its development capabilities.
Sean has worked for more than 20 years in the software industry. Software projects on which he has worked include implementing three computer languages, and working on workflow systems and content management systems. He also founded a company that he operated for six years, as well as heading up development in a number of companies, including Vistech and Qumas.
Sean has an honours degree in Computer Applications from Cork Institute of Technology.
